Station Gallery Art Talk:
The Contentious Nude in Canadian Art
April 18, 2019, 7:00 p.m.

The nude has been one of the more challenging images in the history of Canadian art, its depiction has seldom been objective, it has always been a reflection of the cultural and religious attitudes of its time.

Join John Di Leonardo in an hour-long discussion and visual presentation of this controversial theme.
Explore why we as Canadians still feel uncomfortable with this subject, and whythe nude has played an important role in the evolution of contemporary Canadian art in the early part of the 20th century.
